We begin the tok

Today was a particularly busy day for me and also for A; there are very few photographs taken but most of the progress was limited to only one thing; finishing off the wall between the playroom and the bedroom.

We had a no show from Sally today as he wasn't feeling great but Bekir and Halil got stuck in with a will. Halil swept out and then it was on with the task of completing the frame for the stud wall. Somehow Rosie slept through the most horrendous noise of drilling and hammering for her morning nap - very impressive. A headed out to get plugs and switches and more lights and cable and all sorts of things (including something non-renovation related, see below) so we're doing well with supplies for the build. Around lunch the wall was completed and then the plasterboard started going up and A went out again, with my mum and Rosie this time, and picked up some more supplies and also looked at tiles. We now have a couple of samples given us by the builders merchant to check out. The end of the day arrived with the men putting the cables in for power to plugs and lights and this will continue tomorrow. We will also need to go look at the air conditioning unit and work out which one I need to have, so Bekir can plan the power requirements.

During lunch the puppies situated themselves very near the table, but still technically "in their beds", to watch proceedings and also enjoy the sun. I was also able today to finally unbox and set up the air brush spray booth - I'm very excited to give this a go! Finally A picked me up a folding table which is now set up in the lounge so I can sit in there and paint minis while chatting to her and my Mum.
