This is my blog about emigrating to Bulgaria. It starts with the idea and will take you through all the steps I am taking to create my new life in this wonderful idyllic country. Thank you for reading.

Once again back to it as this week the men did come in on Monday. But first, the weekend...
Friday night moonset was just stunning and I ran onto the roof terrace (we don't go up there much at the moment) to grab some pictures. The rest of the weekend was sunny and bright and we got out into the garden quite a lot (even Rosie was helping first A as she weeded a raised bed and then me as I got stuck in while A did some art). It really was a lovely weekend and the threatened storm did not hit us (though it did blow past across the value) and we had a weekend of the best fun outside. Yesterday evening the night birds were in full song and A took this video, while I was upstairs with the window open listening. Lovely.
Helping mummy pot up some seedlings
The inside of the walls is being finished now
Bekir working on water supply for the toilet
Halil damping the walls
Sally applying more cement
And so to today. Before I was out of bed A was outside with Rosie repotting some seedlings she has grown; Rosie was kind of helping but not really. The men arrived while we were at breakfast and got stuck in to first of all wetting down the cement that had dried slightly too fast and then Sally made a start on applying the cement to finish the inside of the walls. Bekir and I went to the shops first thing to pick some more supplies up and then when we got back he was inside to continue working on the water supply for the toilet upstairs. Halil was helping Sally and also watering down the cement while Sally just cracked on as he does, applying cement then smoothing it down.
Rosie exploring the garden
Beginning to drill a hole
A good sized hole, but it needed to be bigger
Widening the hole from the outside
Bekir explaining the plumbing situation
Bekir has started chasing the channel for the pipe
Halil cleans cement off the doors
Inside the room finished now; getting close!
Rosie really does love being outside, and fortunately so do I and she spent a lot of time outside today as per usual, a large proportion of it exploring and relaxing on her own which is lovely - she's so independent and inquisitive. This also tires her out fast and come time for her afternoon nap she was exhausted, so tired she slept right through Bekir drilling a huge hole through the wall just above her bedroom window. Amazing! The hole is now drilled, the water pipe is down the wall in the guestroom and ready to go into the bathroom, and the channeling outside has been begun to take the pipe to the vacuum pump. Very exciting indeed. Sally and Halil had cracked on through the afternoon as well and the cement work is nearly all done, just a little around the doorway to complete, and then on to the roof. Talking of which we received and approved the quote for the doors and windows we need today so they will be installed soon also.
So there you are; thanks for reading - my readership has dropped off since Facebook decided this blog goes against "community standards"?!!!? and now refuses to let me share any link to it, and has deleted EVERY SINGLE LINK that ANYONE has ever shared to this blog. It's crazy isn't it; they suddenly messaged me about a few of my shares; I tried to appeal but there was no path to appeal and then I noticed they had deleted every single post I've ever done and I can't even share a link to this blog in a PM any more...
.. thanks, I don't expect comments so they are nice when they arrive, glad you read the updates :)
What nonsense is this from Facebook? I may not always comment, but I do read every article with interest.
