The day was overcast and cloudy to start and the moon through the fog was spooky; I brought Rosie and Angela up to see it first thing and Rosie loved it. The sun did come out early but quickly it disappeared and I had to light the fire to stay warm which is unusual. The men were working in the garden all day on the last bits of the raised beds. First of all they widened and cleaned up the front path and dug some footings in for the low retaining wall there. With the blocks in place they did the stones, mesh material and sand before laying blocks. Some of the blocks needed cut which made a racket but it wasn't long before they were mixing cement and pouring it onto the top of the blocks to seal and secure them in place. They headed off a little early to go help someone else with a toilet problem and will be back tomorrow. I remembered today to go check out the Walnut tree they had planted the other day and it is looking very good indeed.

Lasagne for dinner |
I collected Rosie today, after paying my taxes, and when we got back she asked to take the puppies for a walk so Grandma and I took her out with Thelma and Louise. Xena is not yet trained on the lead so couldn't come. We had a lovely time, heading up to one of the towers and then past to the headland. Rosie ran almost all the way there and back and looked at flowers and generally had a great time. When we got back it was time for Grandma Lasagne which was my treat. It was a lovely evening.
So there it is; another day in the bag. Thanks for reading.
