Reinforcing the corners

The update today is going to be super quick; I just didn't get many pictures taken and the task took all day, mostly.

Firstly this morning I went down to the gate and threw some more stones and gravel over the uneven areas in the driveway; it's a lot better now and it didn't take me that long so it was definitely worth while.

The men were in when I got back from dropping Rosie to school and they were just doing the last few little bits on the back gate. Then they started on the barbed wire but were chatting and realised there was one more thing they wanted to do to secure the fence properly; put diagonals up on each corner. This will prevent snow from damaging the fence. They headed off, bought the materials, then fitted each corner before painting with the preservative paint so it won't get rusty. It is looking great. Bekir also fitted the missing odd bit of fence next to the front gate where the angle was a bit wrong. Later on the trimmed the Walnut tree that was growing a little close to the power lines. A good day today.

It was a hot day today again and the pool was very welcoming after work and school. For dinner Angela cooked Posh Scrambled Eggs which is the first time we've had them for ages. The recipe is linked at the top of the page if you're interested.

So there it is; thanks for reading. See you on Monday.
