Goodbye to Mum, and a bits and pieces day

As I said there was no update yesterday as we were out but more on that later.

It dawned a beautiful day yesterday and stayed lovely all day right up until the amazing red sunset that I couldn't get a picture of sadly. During the day pretty much the men worked on plastering and then they went out to the steel place again to finalise the order now we know exactly what we are going to do. And that was their day. It was an important thing to get finalised, however, so I can't argue with losing some time to getting everything ordered. Grandma was enjoying her last day of her holiday and spent some time in the garden among other things but then after Rosie finished school we all jumped into Maisie and Angela drove us to the restaurant near the airport for a really awesome final meal before we took Grandma to the departures. Rosie had a really good meal and particularly liked the ice cream. She then didn't sleep a wink in the car on the way home. Typical.

Today was another glorious day and also Rosie's last day at her current school. She is very excited about her new school! The men had a good productive day with the final window being done and then they went around all the windows at the back checking them for drainage or badly fitting seals. They fixed up a few, but found the big windows next to Rosie's railway have badly fitted seals and that is why they leak so much. Hopefully we'll get that fixed soon and we are now waiting for the window people to come. Bekir also found some drain pipe that had fallen down so that got fixed and then it was on to the next task which was a low wall by where all the new plants are going. They finished this quickly and ended the day working on putting plugs and a tap down by the edge of the patio.

So there it is; Mum got home safely as well at the other end which is great. Thanks for reading, and see you tomorrow.
