Friendly little Gizmo |
Unusually today I open with a picture as we have been told that two days ago Gizmo, the really friendly little puppy from the farm, disappeared and hasn't been seen since. We saw him when we arrived back from the airport on Monday so he must have gone shortly after that. I'm really sad, and we haven't told Rosie yet because she loves that little puppy. They really don't care for their dogs so it isn't a surprise in one sense but still it sucks majorly.

Putting that very sad news behind us and back to before we knew he was gone, this morning Rosie demanded (and got) Christmas songs on the stereo before school and was dancing around the kitchen. She even roped me in for a bit. I had the pleasure of taking her to school today and grabbed a stunning sunrise picture from by the gate as I was leaving. When the men arrived they were up into the roof again to keep working on the block laying. With all the little bits done on the right of the corridor they turned their attention to the left hand side and started building up a cement base to lay the blocks on. They then did begin with the blocks and spent most of the rest of the day cutting and laying blocks. They used up the extra mortar that had been mixed to extend a little more of the floor down the corridor.
So there it is. It is nearly Christmas and the men will probably take a week off so wherever we get to tomorrow will be it until they return. It has been great to get this progress done late in the year, however. I'm loving seeing how it looks. Thanks for reading, back tomorrow.
