This update is going to be short because I feel a little like I'm coming down with a migraine (sore throat, funny feeling teeth, headache, funny feeling legs etc etc) so I'm just bashing an update out quickly while I wait for dinner, watch the finish of the stage in the Tour, and sip juice on a beer-less evening.

The fan was on all night again last night and again we slept through, though I did wake a few times early morning though I was able to get straight back to sleep which was good. I was exhausted when A woke and got up to take the puppies. It was quite an early start even for us and we again sat on the balcony this time before the sun rose watching the puppies doing their chasing in the dust thing and waiting for the sun. As I mentioned yesterday the breeze was interesting, blowing in the opposite direction to in the evening, and as was explained by people on twitter these are katabatic winds. Look it up. The sun slowly made its way towards the edge of the ridge across the valley. It was beautiful to watch the sun shining through the cleft (up which you drive to get to SandS) and then as it got even closer it did the same thing through the notch and then finally there was the sun. Stunning.

We stayed outside for a short while after the sun appeared but then got on with it. A had originally asked me to collect the men so she could get on with some work but she decided to just do work before leaving and then get back, so she didn't have to go out this evening. This worked really well and she did all the work pretty much by the time she went for the men. While she was out I did my tasks which involved making sure Baker was eating OK (she is, and is really looking healthier every day) and emptying the fridge and freezer so we could remove it from Room 13. At some point in the morning, I can't quite remember when, A called me through to the living room and there we found that Thelma (I think) had found a roll of toilet paper and ripped it up completely. Naughty girl!

So I have tried to get out to get more pictures today while I have been pretty focused on solving a really annoying issue with my work. The men have been continuing doing the electrics and the plastering however during today Bekir finished the electrics and so has been onto the plasterboarding and this is almost entirely done, as is the "byalo" in the guest room; just a metre or two more of the beam to go. How exciting! As I say I've also been very involved in my work today and I finally solved the really complicated defect I was working through towards the end of today; a great feeling.

The main event of the day, as the title of this update suggests, was A being out buying things. She had a list of tasks as long as her arm and she managed to get them all done apart from the buckets for the new humanure which failed because a different lady was in the shop and she didn't know about our order; that's a job for the weekend. Anyway, we now have an insured Julian and we know more about the preglet for Lucy and Thomas. We also have a small fridge for the dog food, lots of cakes and other bits of food, and the curtains for the twin room which we had made by a lady in town. Tomorrow we'll have to go to our local town to sort the preglet and taxes for the cars and the house, and I'm going to suggest we do that at a time whereby we can have kebob.

A took the puppies with her on her second trip out and when she got back she suggested we try the harnesses again as Louise's collar is now too tight for her. This we did and they fitted fine; don't they look handsome! From now on we'll be harnessing them for going out and they also seem a little happier in them than the collars.

And so as I say I've been feeling a bit funny today; I did have a good long sleep mid afternoon when I suddenly crashed and after that I woke feeling a lot better and then slowly felt rubbish again. A has cooked us an omelette which is smelling divine and I'm quite excited about. I'm going to wrap this up now and you'll hear all about that and what else happens today in tomorrow's exciting installment.
