Lots of chasing and wiring

Hello again to another update; it's good to keep these coming regularly - I'm enjoying getting them written in bits and pieces through the day and finished at the end of the evening.

The alarm that went off this morning felt like it was way too early and once again A let me have a snooze in but the urge for a cup of tea kept this extra sleep to a very short time. Today has been a far more overcast day than the previous couple of glorious sunny days with no cloud in sight, but it's still be warm enough for the windows to be open so we can hear the birds. I did a little more modeling first thing with my early brew and have finished up the conversions that I have been putting off doing for the Battle Companies game; maybe this evening we'll get to use them. While A was out collecting the men I did my chores and was so super excited to see that a large proportion of my vine cuttings have already started to show buds! I'll need to transfer these to some potting compost soon I think.

The men got stuck into their various tasks very quickly this morning; Mesut had the unenviable task of finishing all the chasing for the lights in for the Gaming Room; this has been accomplished using a hammer as the big machine makes too big a channel that would then need filling. Bekir, as well as assisting the other two, has been focusing on the electrics into the Art Room, putting the pipework through which will contain all the cables. This will really speed up installation and make it easier to fix problems with the cabling if it should occur in the future. Poor Hikmet definitely has the worst job and this morning was down in the new Tool Room cleaning up the final units that will be going in the Games Room. Bless him, it's a tedious job.

I had a quick trip out to make to pick up some final electrical supplies which was easily accomplished and I remembered to attempt the old bridge back home. It felt weird to be driving over it, especially as I was in Pat (A's little car) but there were no problems so that's good to shorten our journey down to the builder's yard. I got back to Mesut up the scaffold chipping out the roof channeling and Bekir having run lots of ducting around the walls of the Art Room. Hikmet was back up on the top corridor again cleaning the units up there; I had pointed out that they need to be stood up so the other side can be done, and also all the inside shelves so I'm sure his heart sank.

After lunch, not spent sat on the patio sadly, we were massively amused by the two puppies as they struggled for space on the chair on which they are sleeping. A was trying to shift Thelma so Louise could fit on but Thelma was having none of it and just shifted straight back as soon as the pressure was off. It was just so funny to watch. Out with the workmen Bekir was back measuring and marking up for channeling as Mesut had run out of marks to chip away at. He also helped Hikmet to lift and position the large shelving units so they could be worked on. I stuck my head out of the window for some fresh air and was amused to watch Clive the Cockerel standing guard as his ladies had a nap. He's a good one and has even started collecting food for them.

I attempted to have a snooze mid afternoon, these early starts are really giving me cause to struggle, but was totally unable to drop off as the men were hammering and banging away. I woke feeling less alert than before my lie down but never mind. The workmen had spent the day cracking on with their tasks; Bekir was wiring up the Art Room, making use of existing ducting from the old wiring. Mesut finally finished doing his channeling, spent a fair chunk of time sweeping up, and then got involved helping Bekir as he went round putting back boxes on and cementing them into place, for the junctions and the plug sockets.

The journey taking them home was easy as always and we've had lovely Spicy Pork Pasta for dunner. Right now I'm watching a YouTube video and I think it'll be an early night tonight.

Thanks for reading, as always.
