Another day of it today; Angela has been unwell all day so I have got to spend the day with Rosie which has been lovely (though I'd rather Angela was better) while the workmen have been cracking on with the tiling.
A really beautiful start to the day |
Rosie having fun with her bikes |
Bekir onto the second course of tiles |
Rosie on the trampoline having fun |
It's painting time |
Playing with "ice" |
Thelma found a comfy spot |
Rosie playing with the sand |
Progress through the morning |
It was a glorious start to the day, and has stayed beautiful if a bit windy at times all day. I was working a little when Angela became unable to look after Rosie so headed down to try to entertain a toddler all day. First of all we had some time on the patio with her bikes. Then we went past the roof terrace to find out how the men were doing (more tiles going down) and onto the balcony for a couple of separate stretches of trampoline time and painting. After that it was into the lounge and we played with dice and the dice tower before heading outside to play in the sand. All of this, before lunch. On our way down we again popped up to see the men and find out how the tiling was coming on.
Four more pallets of blocks |
Cement and lime |
Tiles at the end of the day |
After lunch (noodles for both of us) we headed into town to pick up some bits and pieces like bananas and when we got back the truck was just leaving having dropped off some more materials. I'm sure this is still not "everything" but it didn't return after this. We have lots of blocks and a huge pile of cement (that the men then lifted inside the chicken house to keep it out of the weather) but no fencing and no barbed wire that I saw. Other than this they kept on with the tiling and are making slow but steady progress. I have asked them to work on Saturday if possible to get it finished so Monday can start the other work but we shall see.
So another day; here's hoping that Angela is fully better tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
