First of all let me announce that this is the 1200th blog post I've written - crazy numbers!

Best of buddies |
Today was the start of my holiday as we head off tomorrow to the Black Sea. It was far from a chilled out day though as we had loads of stuff to do before tomorrow. I was out early working out how to put the roof bars on Maisie and when Rosie woke she came and made two sandcastles all on her own. It took me so long to do the roof bars that the men arrived before I was finished and first off they spent some time cleaning up the old fence posts and tidying them out of the way. Eventually we worked out why we were failing to fit the bars and they now go on really easily. I then put the roof box on however I think we will actually take all this off before leaving tomorrow. Halil helped to check the tightness of the nuts on the new wheels and while doing this we found a large grasshopper on one of the wheels. Steve had bought Rosie an awesome playdoh toy and she was sat next to him playing for ages; he even got to read a bedtime book to her last night; she does love Steve!
Starting the framework |
Getting ready for cement mixing |
Drainage goes in |
The steps and slopes are done |
In the chicken enclosure the men were working on the steps and ramps into the chicken house. The idea was to have steps at the front and then slopes to either side so baby chicks and ducks could get in easily. They built a wooden frame then mixed a load of cement up; Bekir also put in a drainage pipe under the steps so when we clean the chicken house we can use a power washer and it'll drain nicely. By the end of the day they had a very good looking result and this will hopefully do us very well.
The little unafraid lizard |
Louise watching the door |
Xena chilling out |
Rosie playdoh time again |
Lots of kids on the same ride |
Stunning clouds above the restaurant |
While I was emptying some stuff into the compost I found a lizard sat on the mesh door which was totally unafraid of me; very rare, that. After a bit of a rest I sat with Rosie playing with her playdoh while Louise and Xena sat and watched the door waiting for Angela to get home from the shops. In the evening Steve and I took Rosie to the restaurant and play park and she had a great time; we got home and went to the neighbours for coffee which was also lovely.
So that's today and also probably the last update for a while; back maybe in a week or so. Thanks for reading!
