Cool(er) weekend and Hot Monday

Hello and welcome to a new week. It has been a super busy long day for me and I've got lots more to do before it is over so I'm going to crack straight on with this update.

Saturday was cooler, but still not that cool, and the clouds had disappeared and haven't been back since either. It was a busy morning with Angela in the garden and I was making the new shelves which are for the library. I put a load of carpeting down in the entrance hall and after some confusion I did manage to put them together and move them into place in the library. They will fit two on top of each other, and three down that wall, so I've ordered another five to come in a couple of weeks time. We got to go to the neighbours which was lovely, and Rosie enjoyed playing with the young chicks. Later on the Little Lady came over and we stood by the grapes and Rosie ate a load of them straight off the vine - awesome.

Sunday we were up early and out the door to town , though it appeared that the thermometer was displaying backwards. Angela stopped us on the way to feed the puppies that have been left by the cemetery on the hill - softie that she is. We had a successful trip, ordering blinds for Room 13, the Games room and the Art room and also picking up some more shelves for the Gardening room. The heat was picking up when we got back and I spent the afternoon fighting the new shelves which, despite being the same product number, had different sized fittings. I got it done eventually, after a sleep to recover, and then spent the rest of the evening with Rosie and then hobbying. It was another good day indeed.

And so to today. I was up really early to get to work to make today a better day and it was successful, particularly with working before it got too hot. Angela put together the lamp that I picked up for the library and it is going to be a perfect reading light - I really like it. The men were in and got stuck in to the respective tasks; Sally and Halil finishing up running the power and Bekir completing the main tiling and then beginning the edging. With all but the final cable run (we ran out so Angela had to go after lunch) Sally and Halil put the cement over the cables to fix them in place. They really are flying towards the completion of this room also.

The afternoon was more of the same with lots of cement and tiling done and now the gym is ready for grouting and the library is all but ready for plastering. Bekir also fixed the gardening shelves to the wall so they won't came crashing forwards which was great. It was so nice to see, after they left (and I got off a late work call) that the men had cleaned everything - it is thoughtful as they'll just make a mess again tomorrow but they know we use the corridors so don't leave cement everywhere. After dinner I tidied the workshop a bit while Angela got out and did some gardening and after my workshop tidy I brought a load of stuff to the gardening storage and stacked it on the shelves. Now it is time to hobby.

What a busy day, as you can see. Thanks for reading.
