A slightly slower day

Today has been a slower day, for me and for the men though Angela has got lots done.

The sunrise was again lovely, it is awesome to see this from my office window, but I was relatively busy again today so I didn't get outside that much. Angela started to put up the second tree, down in the library, and cleaned the room out as well. Mid morning the window people came to talk about our plans for removable windows on top of the raised bed and have gone away to quote it up. Halil was trying to fix his drill and found a part that he needed but we cannot buy it anywhere. I missed the delivery but we also had some stones delivered that will be used in a layer at the bottom of the raised bed. We seem to be at that stage where the project felt like it was done but there is still days of effort to put in; quite frustrating. To this end today the men spent all day applying a skim of plaster to the inside of the raised bed. Inside Angela had done an awesome job putting the tree up and it looks lovely.

And so I collected Rosie from school today and we stopped off in town to see the Christmas lights. She had a great time running around and playing before we headed home. Back at home I had cleaned the tracks on the Christmas layout and the train ran perfectly round and round and we watched it for ages before heading onto the balcony for some trampoline fun. After dinner Angela made Rosie a cardboard box house.

And so the day is done; back again tomorrow.
