Its and bits and toilets

Today has been a strange day; with the lack of materials to continue the major task on the roof it's felt like a "falling between the cracks" day.

I was woken by a huge rumble of thunder but by the time I got downstairs it was sunny and it became very hot indeed during the day. I had chores to do, including lots of humanure buckets, which I got done first thing. The men were on time again and Bekir went straight into the roof to do the small amount of plumbing needed up there while Sally and Halil were down in the pantry and toilet plastering and clearing up there. I was out on the lawn with Rosie when I saw a lovely butterfly sunning itself; it warmed itself up and flew away shortly after. Rosie was fascinated. With the plastering done Sally and Halil were on the balcony inspecting all the welds but I asked them to quickly fix around the garage door which had been damaged slightly somehow so they did that with a big hammer. Agricultural.

Bekir spent the day working on fitting the remaining parts for the toilets; he installed the second pump and power supply in the bay and got the drainage put in. Angela was able to take advantage of how lovely the day was to get the shelves from the pantry washed out. While Angela got some well deserved art time I had a lovely time with Rosie and she particularly enjoyed being in the trailer. Funny baby. It was vaccination day for her today, though, so we headed over to town for that and when we came back a storm was going over that did end up dropping some rain. It was pretty impressive. Bekir is all but done with the toilets while Sally and Halil got stuck in to painting the steel with the protective paint we bought today.

All in all I'll be happy when the next materials arrive; Bekir is still trying to source them.

Thanks for reading.
