The sunrise this morning, which occurred just when I woke as I had a lay-in, was lovely but then it was pretty much straight to my desk. When the men arrived Rosie was waiting again and Bekir brought her some juice, a hippo cuddly toy, and a crown! She is so lucky. For me I barely left my desk all day, not even to eat, as I was busy but the men were cracking on. Bekir finished tidying around the windows then got started on a task I'd forgotten about; putting the surrounds on the doors and so now this is finished on all the doors inside and outside. Sally and Halil were continuing the plastering though we did have a couple of power outages (one while the electricity people came on my land uninvited and trimmed a tree I was going to ask Bekir to cut next week; saves us a job!) but Halil was trying to mix plaster so he had to do it by hand. The plastering was all done and a lot of tidying up occurred then Sally went to the bedroom wall and began to repair the skirting area which was missing. This is because this wall used to have a door here that we turned into a wall with a window. I headed out to town to see Dincher and when I got back (in time to put Rosie to bed which was awesome) I found that the cement was all in place ready for painting the black edging tomorrow.
Tomorrow should involve painting in the library and electrics upstairs then I will move everything into the top corridor so they can start repairing the area outside Room 13; I've ordered the units that my model railway will sit on so I can get the tunnel through the wall done right.
Thanks for reading this short update; back tomorrow.
