Removing and creating dust

Welcome back to the new week, and another busy day all round here.

When the men arrived this morning I didn't see Sally arrive but he had just sneaked in and was there when I popped out to say hi. The first task was to finish off the scraping at the top of the walls and then it was tidying, first of all sweeping and then they dragged the hose pipe in and washed the walls then swept the water out and down the stairs; it reminded me of the flood we had the first year when the roof was not on and the storms were really bad. By lunch time this task was all but completed, though the water was still trickling down the stairs in small waterfalls.

After lunch Angela went with Bekir to order a load of supplies with which to complete the work on the upstairs corridor; we have decided on three of the original light fittings, switches at each end, and also where the plugs will go. Sally started chipping out for the plug socket locations and Bekir marked out all the positions for the switches, sockets and light fittings. He then began to measure up the cable however I was busy at this point and didn't get pictures. By the end of the day it looks like all the channelling has been completed so tomorrow may well be rendering the walls where the plaster has come off entirely, and the ceiling - they are again flying at this task.

This evening has been great; we spent the time with Rosie, who has been in good form, Angela cooked my Spicy Pork Pasta which went down very well (Rosie in particular enjoyed it very much) and then we harvested from the garden which has been very productive again, for almost no effort.

So there it is; thanks very much for reading.
