Carpets ordered on a shorter day

Today was another busy day for me at work and it was also not quite so warm as yesterday.

The sunrise, however, was glorious and I was up in time to enjoy the sight from Room 13.

The men were in for most of the day but did leave a bit early to do some chores in town. They were up in the attic with Halil continuing to plaster and Bekir tidying and getting the crawl spaces ready for the finishing touches, including some more plastering and additional bits of wood and plasterboard to tidy the inside some. At lunch time Bekir took some Manderin cuttings he found from somewhere and carefully transplanted them onto some sour cherry stock. It was fascinating watching him work and he used plasticine to fill the holes; clever! I spent a little time while they were out at the shops with the measure as today was carpet ordering day. Angela headed to town, found a carpet she liked, and then we ended up ordering it, underlay and skirting boards on the internet as it was easier and we need so much.

While she was out Angela bought herself a small handheld chainsaw for trimming in the garden and set to work with it straight away. She also picked up some garden animals which Rosie loved seeing in the garden.

So there you are; another day done and we move slowly towards completion of this first stage in the roof. Thanks for reading and back tomorrow
