A wee nip of whisky |
The weekend was really busy and fun, as Angela was away on her spa weekend. Saturday Rosie and I woke up early and got stuck into our plans. First of all we were into town for some shopping which was fully successful including buying another rose bush for Angela. From there we made our way over to my friends house for a visit which was a lot of fun. We got to enjoy a visit from a tortoise, drank some coffee, played a little hide and seek and just relaxed for a bit. After that lovely visit Rosie and I went for lunch at our favourite restaurant and Rosie had a blast playing with lots of new friends and a few from her school It was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. The next day we were waiting for Angela to come home. Rosie requested to sit on the patio in the sun and it was so warm we had to put sun cream on! Angela had had a great time and it was lovely to welcome her home. Yesterday evening I had a sip of whisky before bed.
Beautiful sunrise this morning |
Glorious colours spreading |
Humanure layer |
So to today. There was a glorious sunrise this morning so you get not just one but two pictures. I jumped onto the top of the storage units outside the kitchen window for the second picture. I asked Angela to take Rosie to school for this week as I want to finish off the raised bed and also spread the sheep manure over the garden (the men took Thomas again today and will bring another load tomorrow). This morning I spread a layer of soil and then a layer of humanure.

How we ended the day |
The men were in on time and other than a quick trip out for some more metal paint they were at it all day. There was a fair amount of time cleaning and tidying up as dust would prevent the mortar from sticking properly. Halil also painted the metal beams again to make them shiny and black. Bekir then got stuck in to applying the skim to the whole of the floor area from the doors backing towards the stairs. He didn't quite get it all done today, there's still just the small section to the left as you get up to the top of the stairs.
So there it is. Thanks for reading and I'll be back tomorrow.
