Floor ready for carpet

Today has been a busy enough day, and a lot has got done. Let's get to it.

Angela took Rosie to school today so I could get stuck into the soil shoveling and sieving for the raised bed. I did get a fair amount done and probably have a few more mornings to complete it. The men were late as they'd taken Thomas yesterday but when they did get here the back of Thomas was completely packed solid with sheep poo. It took some doing to chisel it out and onto the ground.

With that unloaded the men went upstairs and got stuck in to the main task of the day which was to put a second skim over the whole of the floor upstairs, including the mini landing. I also distracted them (though there's no picture) by getting them to help to rip down some wood for my model railway I'm starting.

After school Rosie did some riding on her bike while I did a little more shoveling, before some swinging on the swing time. Then Angela brought out some old garlic and she and Rosie planted it together into one of the raised beds. It was starting to rain so we didn't hang about.

I'll leave you with a picture showing that Angela has been lighting the fire finally! Yesterday and today.

So there it is. Tomorrow will be carpet day! I am very excited. Thanks for reading.
