It's Friday so the final update of the week, and another short one as it was a simple day today for the men.

The scaffold, strapped in place |

Tying the ladder to the scaffold |

Successful contraption |

Working on the outer section |
Simple in a sense as they spent the day doing the final sealing and tidying around the very tops of the gable end. This involved some very scary looking rope work and contraptions to balance the scaffold on top of another ladder and lash it into place however no one got hurt so no harm, no foul. It did look quite terrifying to me. They only needed to have this in place for the central part of the roof where it is so very high; while the long ladder is plenty long enough it would have had to lean on the glass and that was not something that they wanted to risk. The two outer sections were completed very much more simply and then the men tidied up. Now the only thing to do out there this year is if we get the hooks put up to hang our chairs (and Rosie's is included in that) up for the winter.
A weekend off then next week hopefully landing and library completed before Christmas! Thanks for reading.
