Once again today has been miserable. It didn't rain all morning but it did rain all afternoon and it is tipping it down right now.

Trimming down tiles |
The day started with me at my desk before Angela or Rosie woke; it's great to get a good lie in and seems to have set the day off well. The men were in and working away inside the balcony fitting the last of the steel (that they can do now; there's still two panes missing entirely that they cannot seal until the window people finish fitting them). Angela took Rosie out for a bit today to the shops and to collect some post so I had the puppies who slept in front of the fire most of the time. With the steel work finished Bekir and Halil moved on to tidying up and then chipping away at the cement below the windows to start the finishing off and tiling. There is a lot of small sections of tile to fit so this was a slow process to clean and measure for each tile. The next step was to start cutting the tiles up, which was done with the grinder.

The School in the evening |
After work I went with Bekir into town to do my visit to the immigration office (which was successful to a point) and then to look into the warranty on the air conditioning units in Rosie's room as one is dripping a lot and I think the other takes a LONG time to start up. We will be able to talk to a technician tomorrow. It was raining the whole time, and dark when we got back, but Halil had done lots of work while we were away so hopefully the tiling can commence tomorrow. Rosie dragged me outside into the darkness and rain and we had a lovely time walking around, jumping in puddles, and generally exploring but when the rain got heavier I was boring daddy and took her back inside.
There goes another day, and another day without a library; it struck me today that we'll be lucky to get this done before Christmas; oh I do hope it is! Such a long year of renovations and we're stuck on niggly things that need to be done before winter but prevent the awesomeness inside that will give the library and the first model railway a chance to exist.
Thanks for reading!
