Weekend and rainy Monday

This is a very tired individual writing this update; it wasn't a great night sleep for some reason and today has been long and difficult. Let's get to it.

First of all on Saturday I went to town with Rosie and picked up a few bits and pieces, also giving Angela a break. Then we tried to have our family call but technology let us down so I headed down to the spring to fill the water bottles as our water was still brown. Apparently, however, the problem has been fixed so I will be running the tap for a while tomorrow to see if it is better. We are still going to get a bore hole, however. Sunday we all went out to the shops, after a lovely visit from the neighbours, and when we got back I set up the new monitor in the painting room and then got my old laptop reinstalled with linux. I can now do livestreams from in there which is cool. Angela was playing with Rosie outside and I got to spend a lot of time with them as well. We went to see the neighbours in the evening as well. It has been strange not seeing them.

Today has been a truly miserable day, weather wise, and it has battered me quite a lot. Angela had a very early start with Rosie and so we're both tired this evening. The men were in and first off Bekir drilled through so I could get my internet cable into the end room. Then they went to start work on the balcony, beginning to prepare to do the tiles on the outside, when the window people arrived. They have now fitted the missing sliding windows to the right of the balcony, drilled out the drainage holes (a good thing as it has been raining continually all day) and also put the two big central angled panes in. Hopefully they'll be back to finish the job tomorrow. Once they were done Bekir and Halil were able to crack on with their job fitting the L profile steel around the edges of the windows and they flew through this. Tomorrow we'll need to get some flat profile for above the windows (as they are flush with the supports) but then it'll be (as I've said over and over, inacurately) nearly done.

And there it is; another day done, and another day closer to Christmas. Thanks for reading.
