Working toilets

Let's get the big news out of the way first - we have WORKING TOILETS! Yessss...

But to yesterday now; the sunset was stunning, I went onto the roof terrace to grab a picture as it was just so magical. Of course it doesn't really do it justice but still. Later on, after some hobbying, a huge storm blew in and I went onto the balcony and shot an awesome video with lots of great sheet and forked lightning. I then went to bed and fell asleep listening to it.

I woke this morning before anyone else and then got Rosie up to try and let Angela have a lay in. It was a lovely clear morning after the storm and I was outside with Rosie pretty much straight away with her running around happily. The men were later today, as planned, as they went to a builders merchant to find out about materials but when they arrived they got stuck in, tidying after the storm (Sassy's hutch had blown over) and then Sally and Halil got stuck into the painting while Bekir was back to fitting toilets.

The material order arrived very quickly and the men unloaded (Sally kept painting) though the big planks were "unloaded" by just upending the dumper section. Rosie was fascinated watching. After this I went onto the balcony to find that the paint had been dripped all over the tiles which was a bit frustrating as we didn't want to damage them however some white spirit and elbow grease resolved it and I gave them a dust sheet to put down to prevent further damage. Bekir finished installing the toilets and also put some extra shelf supports in the pantry then it was the quite stressful exercise of testing the toilets and after some initial struggle we finally got the one downstairs working which was cause for huge celebration. No more buckets!! I was out this evening having pizza and a few beers with my mate Dincher which was lovely and so this update is being written after that late in the evening while I have a cup of tea before bed.
