Still no tiles

I went into today thinking that at the very latest Mesut would get started on the tiles after lunch. As the title of this update suggests, however, that hasn't happened. I understand why as you will see however that doesn't change a slight feeling of frustration that I can't go and look at those lovely tiles beginning to be laid.

To the beginning of the day and I slept the sleep of the dead last night after a very early night prompted by fighting with the scanner which brought on a headache. Despite the long sleep it was a struggle to wake up but needs must and we were up for our morning routine whereby I do my chores while A is out getting the workmen. The day has very much gone to routine with Mesut cracking on with finishing off the holes made by Bekir, Hikmet stuck by the units painting and painting and painting, and Bekir going round wiring up connectors in preparation for putting plugs on. I was working away while A was also very busy but at one point during the morning she was outside with Thelma laughing so much at the size of "stick" that Thelma had pulled out of our "to dry for the fire" pile. Crazy dog. Lunch we spent sat on the balcony, lovely but a bit breezy, but at least the threatened thunder storms haven't arrived. It did rain a bit over night and more Saharan dust fell, coating everything in grime.

The puppies have been hugely lazy all day, sleeping loads and not going outside very much at all; at one point Louise went to go outside, got to the top of the stairs, then turned right round and went back onto their chair. I can't really blame them though. The work continued with Mesut plugging up some damage to the walls in the Art Room that had previously been hidden by the units and then getting stuck in to tidy and help Bekir. This is why the tiling hasn't been started; Bekir forgot to bring his large tile machine and because the tiles are just too big for the one he had left here Mesut helped with the wiring instead; it's all progress; I'm gasping to see those tiles go down though. Hikmet, bless him, was still on with painting.

I was on calls until right before the men were due home and the journey back was uneventful, even slightly subdued. When I got back I had another call and then dinner was served which was a superb fish with stir fried veg and really tasty; we ate out on the balcony again even though the breeze was not very warm and the sun was behind clouds. It was still glorious and really enjoyable.

Since then I've been up here working a bit and then doing this update. Tomorrow is surely another day, and I will see you all again then.
